CIVILIAN FIRST RESPONDER: ENHANCED BLEEDING CONTROL+CPR/AED COURSE

Our Civilian First Responder: Enhanced Bleeding Control+CPR/AED Course is a great basic trauma class for teachers, police officers, parents, students and the community. You will gain the necessary tools to respond to any trauma emergency with confidence and bridge the gap until EMS arrival. The world is a dangerous place due to mother nature, active shooters and terrorism. Students will earn a Bleeding Control certificate from the Dept. of Homeland Security and an American Heart Association BLS/CPR card. Students will learn Bleeding Control/Tourniquet Application, Airway Management, Wound Care, Splinting, Head-to-Toe Assessments, CPR/AED and more. This course is open to the public, no prior medical training necessary. This is an 8 hour in classroom course.

TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE(TECC)

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) teaches EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers how to respond to and care for patients in a civilian tactical environment. It is designed to decrease preventable deaths in a tactical situation.  The course presents the three phases of tactical care: Direct Threat(Hot Zone), Indirect Threat(Warm Zone), Evacuation(Cold Zone).

 

The 16-hour classroom course covers the following topics: Hemorrhage control, Surgical airway control and needle decompression, Strategies for treating wounded responders in threatening environments, Caring for pediatric patients, and Techniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety.
